Scarboro Golf and Country Club, with a history dating back to 1912, has been the site of four Canadian Opens, the Canadian Tour Championship and several amateur championships. The course was originally designed by noted professional and Canadian golf course architect George Cumming, but underwent extensive changes in 1924 under the direction of Albert Warren Tillinghast. Tillinghast was one of North America’s premier golf course designers, who was at the peak of his career when hired to redesign Scarboro.
Our clubhouse provides a unique atmosphere of casual elegance, where members and guests can truly feel at home. Full of charm and vibrant in spirit, the clubhouse makes an extraordinary course even more exceptional.
The charm and elegance of our stately Edwardian Clubhouse is an ideal setting for your wedding and private functions. Imagine an outdoor wedding with a championship golf course as the backdrop, sipping champagne on the expansive verandah, and treating your guests to a magnificent meal in one of our elegant dining rooms. Or, host your business meetings and special celebrations.
“Over the last 13 years, Scarboro has become a home away from home for our family of four. Our boys have benefited from Scarboro’s junior camps, the many children’s holiday parties, our own annual family classic golf challenge, and growing up amongst a wide variety of adults who are welcoming and happy to share their wealth of life experiences. Having an outdoor oasis in the city has provided a place to relax and host many large family gatherings. We have hosted our extended family and friends every year at the Christmas Grand Buffett. It has become a yearly tradition that everyone looks forward to.
We have played many world class golf courses and Scarboro has prepared us well for the challenges other courses have to offer.”

“During my 55 years as a member at Scarboro GCC, and in my role as a Course Rater for both Score Magazine and Golfweek, I have had the privilege of playing throughout North America and overseas.
Each time I return I am reminded how special Scarboro truly is….the course, the clubhouse, the grounds and the staff.
If I had to choose only one course to play for the rest of my life, it would be Scarboro Golf and Country Club.”

It’s a family-friendly place, with great amenities — my daughter’s involved in all the golf camps. I love this place!
